We had our Saturday lined up tight and so there was no choice but to skip our breakfast. Thankfully enough, we were close to RK Ashram metro station and thus decided to walk down to this rooftop café tucked in the busyness of Paharganj- Spooky Sky Café.
Spooky Sky Café is actually on the rooftop of one of the Paharganj hotels, that didn’t appear to be shady to venture in. It is spacious with simple interiors and has provisions for sitting in or outside the shade. Hearing ‘spooky’ we expected a bit of eeriness though, but apart from Halloween masks hung all across the bamboo wall and balcony, there wasn’t anything spooky about the place. Though we can assume it must look pretty enough when those green lanterns would get lit by dusk.
Since we wanted some quick breakfast, we ordered for a continental combo wherein we could slurp up toasted breads, muesli with milk, omelette (we customized ours to a cheesy version), tea and bananas. It arrived quickly and was well-prepared and fresh. We also ordered for some parathas later (desi log you see) and were done under INR 500 again!
One awesome thing we got to know from the staff is that Spooy Sky Café is open 24 hours! And they home-deliver for free free free! Can this get any better? Pocket pe sasta and khana bhi accha 🙂
