Right in the centre of Janpath arcade is this beautiful place – Café Delhi Heights, that will literally take you to another zone when you here. Climb up the stairs to the first floor, lined with framed artworks depicting the essence of Delhi and walk into a surprisingly large space than you might imagine.
Where Do You Wanna Sit?
As you enter, there is seating arrangement perfect for a gang of friends; all quirked up. The wall on the right has a sketch of Connaught Place done by an Indian artist that will make you pout for a selfie for sure, and leads to another area apt for corporate meetings. The glass windows here allow ample sunlight to flow in and makes you want to sip on some coffee as you ponder over life. At night, Café Delhi Heights looks even beautiful.
On left of the painted wall is a rich bar with a collection to die for and faces seating best suited for couples or families. Each table is like a private seater with personal TVs to keep you and your little ones engaged by the time your order comes. You can also see the chef and his brigade working from here in their open kitchen.
Time To Order @Café Delhi Heights?
We simply love mushrooms, so had to start with Baked Mushroom Caps. The mushrooms though baked, retain their natural softness with cheese filling and Italian seasonings (we finished it within minutes mayn).
Deep under the guilt of Diwali gluttony, we wanted something healthy and opted for Pretty Good Stuff, which is named exactly how it tastes. This salad is a mix of a whole lot of fruits and vegetables – bellpepper, tomato, cucumber, green apple, pomegranate, pear, onions; and feta cheese. Also thrown in to add to its nutrient value are quinoa sprouts and flax seeds, seasoned with balsamic vinegar and spices. Thanks to the assortment, each bite has a unique taste!
Strongly recommended by many, and also because we heard a lot about the Juicy Lucy Burger recent contest, we decided it try it on our own (aisa kya hai bhala jaane toh). One bite into the burger and the juices literally ooze out of the patty! Imagine two patties of minced meat marinated with just the right amount of spices that pack in cheese between them before sealed together! Pure divine!
P.S: It’s really big, order just this unless you have a huge appetite!
Needed some meetha so we decided to go for a quick and easy-on-the-palate Banoffee Pie. Aptly sweet, Banoffee Pie is a dessert you shouldn’t miss when at Café Delhi Heights. It’s delicate and melts in the mouth, while you can taste the banana, caramel and its crumbly base separately!
This is one place where we would love to go again to explore more of its menu, and yes, enjoy the ambience. 🙂
