We had actually gone to the Green Park market to gorge on those momos when we saw Pomelos Cafe in the middle of the market, bang opposite Evergreen. Sprawled over two floors, the interiors are done well, in vibrant pastels and tables that look like cut wooden barrels.

The wall art on the top floor is also impressive with a mix of styles been used to add a zing to the place. (Don’t miss the giant metal elephant art on the wall, it looks magnificent). No wonder it is a popular choice for parties, pop ups and music gigs.
The second floor of Pomelos Cafe seems a bit more suited to corporate meetings and a quite date with a close one. Arranged in a simpler manner, it feels soother and calmer than the other floor.

Grab a quick bite
Since we had little appetite and time on hand, we ordered for some Bruschetta and Caesar Salad. Bruschetta has somehow always been a favourite with us, if we see it on the menu, we can’t help but order one. So here it came, with chopped tomatoes laced in a tangy sauce and herbs. It tasted well, and had the right crunch.

The Caesar Salad was a pleasant surprise. With generous amounts of iceberg lettuce complimented with sundried tomatoes, grated cheese and grapefruit, it could not get any more healthier.

Budget Vudget
Pomelos Cafe might look like it would make a hole in yyour pocket, but is actually moderately priced. We got done under INR 600, (yay) and given the ambience and quality of food, a meal here is worth the money.
Some Gyaan: The name of the cafe comes from the South Asian citrus fruit Pomelo, which the owners happened to try on one of their travels, they liked it so much that they opened a cafe named after it!
